Even old-school Christmas icons need new-school names. Domain names, that is. To help 12 beloved holiday "celebrities" stay current, we asked someone with an encyclopedia-like knowledge of Christmas to design a new domain name for each one. His name is James Cooper, a.k.a. The Christmas Expert.
Using some of the newest options available, Cooper crafted a URL for each Christmas icon that immediately tells a piece of his or her story.
New "not-com" options -- ranging from 'dot-style' (.style) to 'dot-gifts' (.gifts) to 'dot-toys' (.toys) -- allow you to do just that: succinctly story-tell with creative ease. Domains suddenly become more meaningful and memorable. There's even an option dedicated to the holiday that inspired the Ho-Ho-Ho: 'dot-christmas' (.christmas). Hard to forget a domain that ends in that!
Without further ado, here are the 12 "Not-Com" icons of Christmas ...
