November is a month to celebrate the mustache. What began in 2003 with a small group of friends in Australia, all of whom had a simple desire to make the mustache cool again, has since morphed into a global crusade where growing facial hair for 30 days raises awareness -- and money -- for prostate cancer research.
The annual homage that's helped to make the looks of Tom Selleck and Charlie Chaplin cool again has inspired a host of websites that celebrate the 'stache in all sorts of fun ways, complete with clever website names.
Some of our favorites include:
- www.MustacheMafia.hockey (a hockey team in Omaha, Neb.)
- www.Beardlife.clothing (a site that sells accessories for beards)
- www.Beard.guru (a blog by a man who's rocked a beard since 1991)
- www.Mustache.cafe (a hookah bar in Maryland)
Notice that each of these sites ends in something other than 'dot-com' (.com) or 'dot-net' (.net)? It's the newest trend in website naming that's transforming the Internet. Hundreds of new domain options allow you to design a domain name that is meaningful, memorable and creative.
Below are some still-up-for-grabs domain names that rock the mustache in memorable ways. Just as there are numerous ways to grow, style and adorn that Movember facial hair -- these names demonstrate the same creative opportunity online.
Seize 'em while they're still available (as of Nov. 11) ...
